Mt Biking at Great Brook Farm
Had a great ride with Chris and Tom at Great Brook Farm State Park last night. The place has changed a lot since the last time I rode here. We got “lost” a couple of times. Tophet Loop and Heartbreak Ridge rock!
Tom took a close look at the mud under this bridge on Tophet Loop East.
Here’s the route we took in basically a clockwise direction.

Mt Biking Mine Falls
Chris, his friend Alex and I had a tame ride in Mine Falls this evening. It was a perfect evening to ride – cool, dry and no bugs! No casualties either. Afterwards, we headed to La Carreta in Nashua for dinner.
Canoeing on the Squanacook River
Took Nick, John and my 6 y/o nephew William canoeing on the Squanacook River this morning. We spent most of the time tracking and catching turtles sunning themselves on logs. Caught 2! We saw several Great Blue Herons and a small Hummingbird Moth landing on Water Lilies out on the river.
Mt Biking by the Nashua River
Went Mt Biking with my friends Chris and Tom yesterday. It was more a fun ride. On the way back, Chris and Tom both got a nasty scrape; Chris from a tree that tried to lance him and Tom attempting a steep descent covered with scree. The scree won. Oh, and Chris also hit a hidden stump off trail and took a tumble. As for me, I just had a few small “fall over sideways from a complete stop” in to … Continue Reading
Some of my favorite iPhone apps
Let me start with the AOL Radio app. This is a little gem and it is free too! Basically, it plays over 200 CBS owned radio stations from across the USA. The song’s title, artist and album artwork are displayed if available. You can browse by Stations, tag Favorites, look at Recent stations or songs and browse local based on your location. The interface is simple and easy to navigate. One of the coolest features is Find – which looks like a little magnifying glass next to the song’s album art. … Continue Reading
iPhone activated
If you read my post yesterday, you know the story. The Apple store had to send me to the AT&T store this morning. My account was completely messed up. The gent at AT&T got things sorted and working in 10 minutes. Thanks Dennis at AT&T in the Burlington Mall!
Mt Biking Beaver Brook
Rode with Chris and Todd at Beaver Brook. This was my first time there, lots of uphill. A big thunder storm was moving in from the west and after about 30 minutes it started to rain, making the trails slippery. We took the short way out and headed for a Mexican restaurant for burritos.

We went counterclockwise from the starting point.
The English Beat, The Fixx and The Alarm
Went to see these 3 bands in concert last night and sat in the front row. It was a great show at the Tupelo in Londonderry, New Hampshire. I had not seen The Alarm before and I have to say they were awesome. Great punk with a dose of pop. They really knew how to work the crowd with lots of energy. All photos taken on my iPhone.

The Fixx is always a good show.
