I drove to western Ct yesterday to see my daughter off on her trip to South Korea and Japan. In the morning, I got to spend 1 1/2 hrs on Macedonia Brook in Macedonia Brook State Park. This is a great little mountain stream – no wider than 15′ in most places and very tight with trees and shrubs on both banks, lots of boulders, and cascades. It’s that time again! This weekend was drizzly, cold, windy and overcast – perfect to challenge a weekend photography warrior! I had lots of photos to choose from this weekend though. This photo was taken the day before my wedding on Nov. 10, 1989. My brother flew over from Germany (he was stationed in Mainz) and my Mom & Dad came to Boston for my wedding. Last night (12/01/2008) a triple conjunction of Venus, Jupiter and the crescent Moon occurred right at dusk. I was able to get a quick shot on the way out the door.

This weekend had a mix of grey overcast skies and rain and spectacularly beautiful New England autumn sun! I just got my 70-200mm lens back from Canon repair so I got a chance to try it out on the cloudy day.
